The Look, Cigarette Pants

Cigarette Pant: straight and narow trousers, sometimes cropped, originated from the 1950s.
They're sleek. They're sexy. They've got massive appeal.
Casual. Dressy. Fun. Flirty. Dress them up or down.
Wear it with an over-sized sweater or your favorite blazer.
Embellish them. Make them look effortless.
Pair them with your favorite strappy heel.
Or a perfect pointy-toe pump.
Everyone looks great in them.
You can do no wrong with a Cigarette Pant.

Fleeting Summer

As we are already way into mid-summer, I still wanted to talk about some fashion faves that have me hooked for summer looks. Here are images of four stunning ladies that I manged to combine to create a collage to showcase some leading outfits that you must take inspiration from! These outfits sure do showcase some gorgeous styles, prints, colors and materials that you should try to incorporate into your summer looks. These looks can trescend into the fall as well. Flowers are still riding strong as well as the metallics and prints.

On the left hand side we have Camilla Bella dressed head-to-toe in Salvatore Ferragamo. She showcases the  sparkle-glitter trend that has slowly been rising through the past seasons of trends, as seen on runways, from clothes to accesorries to jewlery. It can be hard to pull of so much glitz in one outfit, but try incorporating small pieces of glittery items into your already-wearing wadrobe. Remember, if you're not comfortable wearing it, DON'T WEAR IT!

Jessica Alba pairs her floral pants with a bright tangerine top and aqua turqoise overcoat. This is a perfect example of color-blocking with an incorporation of florals. To top it all off, her sandals are the right pair to wear, simple and not too overbearing, giving a chic feminine finish to the outfit. When wearing florals or other prints, depending on how you feel, you want to pair the outfit with simpler or complementing pieces. Try not to overbear yourself with heavier shoes or too much clunky jewelry, again, do what you are comfortable with.

Olivia Palermo was seen wearing this adorable printed dress in Paris. Her look: a fun, adorable, elegantly chic printed dress is perfect for any summer occasion. Now those of you afriad of prints, try finding one that partners with black or white or a neutral, that way it can be an easy transition for you to mix/match with other wardrobe pieces if you're not too fond of prints.

The last image is taken from a runway still. Metallics, metallics, and more metallics. I don't think metallic has been this in since the 80s. I'm absolutely loving the huge comeback. Pair your favorite summer tee or dress with a touch of metalllic whether it be a bag, shoes, a cigarette pant, headpiece, whatever! Just try to snag a metallic piece that you like. It'll definitely bring you some shine and sparkle this summer.

Defying, Defining, and Dying For

Happy Monday evening,

I hope everyone had a fab Monday. I found this image via Style.com and fell in love with it instantly. The way the vibrant yellow pops out of the photograph is amazing. It was taken outside of the Paris Couture shows.

I felt like posting the image to remind everyone fashion is what you make it. Always strive to be you. Fashion isn't about following trends or purchasing the most expensive items but creating and curating your sense of style, defining it, making it unique, so people know it's 'you'. Fashion is the one thing women are constantly defying, defining, and dying for.

I see it as a tool for you to continually express yourself without having to explain anything at all. Sure there are tons of other things out there in the world that you can use to define and express yourself, but here is one so unique, that its' creativity is limitless and bountiful. So go ahead, indulge in your senses and creativity. Be you. Don't be afraid to thrust yourself into a new perspective or channel your most inner thoughts. And I don't mean this just for fashion and style or how you dress, but everything in life. Don't waste a single day, make everyday count. Be creative, challenge yourself, be good to those around you. Because life's too short to not enjoy the pretty floral pants, am I right, am I right?! haha
From my mind to yours, I'm signing off. But, I most definitely hope this post inspires you to go out there and do what you want and to the fullest.

Fall 2012 Haute Couture in Paris

Street style seen at Paris Fall 2012 Couture shows. I call this the Russian Dolls. Pictured here are Miroslava Duma and Ulyana Sergeenko and two others. Would you rock one of these outfits?

I Love When Celebrities...

Can't get enough of Emma Stone. In the win again, Stone wears a Roksanda Illincic dress and Christian Louboutin shoes in Spain. Such a daring dress but Emma pulls it off so effortlessly. I LOVE WHEN CELEBRITIES pull off a fashion-forward/risk taking ensemble. The color, hemline, and silhouette of the dress are perfect on Emma. The dress is very unique. The cut and hemline of the dress are so not typical. The dress elongates her body and allows her to show just enough skin to still look feminine and sexy. I applaud Emma for trying out a bold hemline with such length (not an easy look that suits everyone). I also would have never guessed to pair such shoes with the outfit but if you ask me, I've never seen anything go more perfectly together. You go Emma!

And the Cute Couple Win Goes To..

How adorable do Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield look at the Madrid, Spain premiere of their film Spider Man. Emma looks darling in Dolce&Gabbana. Way to rock the outfit Em!
