Oxblood Obsession

Sorry for such a delay on a post! This one has been a long time coming!

Oxblood OBSESSION. Crimson, wine, deep blood, burgundy are all just a few names to describe the incredibly luxe color. The shade is deep and mysterious, rich and fine, and simply perfection. Seems like the Fall 2012 RTW runways were dead on with the popularity of the shade. Best thing about this hue, it looks fabulous on everyone. There is no denying that whether it be a top, bottoms, overcoat, accessory, or shoes oxblood is the shade-to-wear this fall season.

How to Wear: I truly think Oxblood has become the new staple color for fall. I view it kind of like a neutral. Pair it with navy, beige, forest green, purple, mustard, honestly, the list is endless. Color block is the way to go! Don't be afraid to mix with a pretty print or brocade. Fall trends are all about rich brocade patterns and looking luxe, add some decadent gold pieces to accessorize with and some fun shoes.

Try the all-on-oxblood or make it the stand out piece of your outfit, carefully choosing other pieces to embellish the look. There is nothing wrong with mixing textures either. Go for a pair of great leather pants or leggings, or you might want to add lace or a faux fur item. My personal favorite, adding a leopard print loafer or smoking slippers with any of my oxblood outfits. Hope you love the trend as much as I do! Have fun with your outfits!

Center Stage

The most understated elegant accessory that ever was: the headpiece.
Whimsical, dreamy, romantic, ethereal beauty are just some words I like to use to describe them.
It maybe the little girl in me, the season, or even my indian heritage or maybe a mixture of all three which give rise to my addiction and fondness to these head jewels.
It is a beloved embellishment of mine.
Whenever I wear one, I get this overwhelming feeling that I can conquer the world.
Maybe that's why Cleopatra always had one on. It's one of those things.
A headpiece can always take a day look to an evening look.
When trying out the trend, I would advise to a buy a headpiece that is not too dramatic.
Depends on taste and how comfortable you are with wearing one.
Before setting out to wearing it in public, try wearing one at home and
walk around and see how you feel.
When trying to figure out when or how to pair a headpiece with an outfit,
IT MUST ALWAYS FEEL RIGHT! If it does not feel right to you, then don't wear it.
When wearing a great head piece, it's always nice to keep your other jewelry to a minimal.
Go easy on the eyes, but big on top.
Go on and get your Cleopatra on.

Love always,
